A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the recently announced UFC card on September 5 as #12 Montana De La Rosa faces Maryna Moroz.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
De La Rosa (11-5-0) has won four of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Christina Marks, Rachael Ostovich, Nadia Kassem and Mara Romero Borella. De La Rosa competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, making it to the quarterfinals of the reality show before losing to Nicco Montano. De La Rosa has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of submission.
Moroz (10-3-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, picking up wins over the duo of Sabina Mazo and Maryna Bueno Silva. Moroz has seen her last seven fights go the distance and it has been over five years since the fighter got a finish. Moroz has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.
The recently announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
