August could turn out to be one of the busiest months in UFC history as the promotion has a total of nine events planned for that month.
MMA Fighting was the first to report that the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) has approved nine UFC cards for the month of August.
Those UFC events scheduled for August are UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana (8/1), Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 27 (8/4), UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik (8/8), Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 28 (8/11), UFC 252 (8/15), Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 29 (8/18), UFC Fight Night: TBA vs. TBA (8/22), Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 30 (8/25) and UFC Fight Night: TBA vs. TBA (8/29).
Now that all the events have been approved by the NAC, it means that MMA fans will get to see an average of one UFC event 3.5 days.
There are no UFC events scheduled for the month of July in Las Vegas, as all four UFC cards that month will happen on Fight Island.
