Laurentino was issued a twelve month suspension and a fine of $5,363.40 for testing positive for stanozolol, which is an androgenic anabolic steroid.

MMA Junkie reports that neither Nijem or Laurentino responded to requests made by the NAC about their failed tests, neither fighter was also in attendance at the NAC hearing a few days back.

UFC veterans Glaico Franca and Daniel Pineda, both allegedly failed drug tests during the PFL’s second season, have had their hearings extended until next month. Pineda, who allegedly failed a drug test in October, was supposed to fight Lance Palmer in the season two featherweight finals, but will now get replaced by Alex Gilpin.

Jason House, who is Pineda’s manager, issued the following statement to MMA Junkie:

“Right now we’re in the process of researching what could have led to a positive test. We plan on appealing the decision once all information is gathered.”
