Report: Nick Diaz Planning MMA Return In 2021

Nick Diaz is revving for a return to action.

It has been nearly six years since the last time Diaz stepped into the Octagon, a no-contest against former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the main event of UFC 183. Diaz could be readying for an Octagon return, as Ariel Helwani of ESPN is reporting that Diaz is planning on fighting again in 2021:

Kevin Mubenga, who is Diaz?s agent, also told Helwani that there is a ?100%? chance that Diaz competed next year. Nick?s brother Nate Diaz has been a little bit more active than Nick has been since UFC 183, winning three of five fights. Those wins come over former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and Michael Johnson.

The elder Diaz brother hasn?t picked up a victory in nearly nine years, with his last win coming over former two division UFC champion BJ Penn at UFC 137. There is no word at this time as to an exact time frame for when Diaz plans on making his Octagon return.
