A lightweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 205 according to MMA Junkie as Patricky Pitbull is in action against Goiti Yamauchi.
Pitbull (19-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Josh Thomson, Ben Henderson and Derek Campos. Pitbull hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to former Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler at Bellator 157. Pitbull has suffered a total of eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those defeats came by way of decision.
Yamauchi (22-4-0) has won three of his last four under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over Ryan Couture, Valeriu Mircea and Adam Piccolotti. Yamauchi has suffered a grand total of four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came in Bellator MMA competition. Yamauchi hasn’t picked up a win in just about a year, with his last win coming over the aforementioned Piccolotti at Bellator 183.
Bellator 205 takes place on Friday, September 21 from the Century Link Arena in Boise, Idaho with Pat Curran and AJ McKee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
