A bantamweight division attraction between Pedro Munhoz and former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, originally set for UFC 251, has been moved to UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige.
AG Fight first reported the news, but no reason has been given at this time as to why the fight changed cards.
Munhoz (18-4-0-1NC) is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout was a loss to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 238. Munhoz has won three of his last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Brett Johns, Bryan Caraway and Cody Garbrandt. Munhoz has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came in the UFC.
Edgar (23-8-1) is making his UFC Bantamweight Division debut in this fight and does so having won just one of his last four bouts. Edgar is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, defeating BJ Penn to win the gold at UFC 112 in April of 2010. Edgar has competed in three different weight classes in the UFC and has been with the promotion for over thirteen years.
