Report: Poliana Botelho Faces Gillian Robertson On October 17 UFC Card

A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the yet to be announced UFC card on October 17 as Poliana Botelho faces Gillian Robertson.

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the fight, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Botelho (8-2-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Pearl Gonzalez, Syuri Kondo and Lauren Mueller. Botelho is a former XFC International Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Silvana Gomez Juarez to win the gold. Botelho has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighters, with both of them coming to former/current UFC fighters.

Robertson (8-4-0) has picked up five total wins in the UFC, with notable victories coming over Emily Whitmire, Molly McCann and Cortney Casey. Robertson also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, losing in the opening round to Barb Honchak. Robertson has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of submission.

The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, October 17 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
