Report: Priscila Cachoeira Replaces Yanan Wu At UFC 237

Yanan Wu has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC 237 according to Combate, replacing her against Luana Carolina is going to be Priscila Cachoeira.

Carolina (5-1-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and does so while in the midst of a five bout winning streak. Carolina did compete on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 3, defeating Mabelly Lima by unanimous decision. Carolina has seen her last two fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish.

Cachoeira (8-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping bouts to the duo of Valentina Shevchenko and Molly McCann. Cachoeira hasn’t picked up a win in well over a year, with that last victory coming in September of 2017. Cachoeira has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter, with four coming by KO/TKO and four coming by way of decision.

UFC 237 takes place on Saturday, May 11 from the Arena Da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil with Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
