Taura MMA has been signing a lot of former UFC fighters as of late and another one could be added to the list as former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao has signed with the promotion.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, while also revealing that Barao has signed a three fight deal and will compete at featherweight.
Barao is also expected to make his promotional debut in November or December, but no opponent has been revealed at this time.
The next Taura MMA card is Taura MMA 11 on October 30 and MMA Fighting has revealed some of the bouts for the event, which will include Rousimar Palhares vs. Sean Loeffler, William Macario vs. Will Chope, Guto Inocente vs. DJ Linderman, Antonio Silva vs. Brett Martin and Richardson Moreira defending the light heavyweight title against a yet to be revealed opponent.
Taura MMA 11 takes place on Friday, October 30 from the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida with Richardson Moreira and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans haven’t been revealed at this time.
