Report: Renan Barao vs. Bobby Moffett Headlines Taura MMA 12

A featherweight division affair will headline Taura MMA 12 as Renan Barao is in action against Bobby Moffett.

Barao (34-9-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a five fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in almost four years. Barao is a former UFC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Urijah Faber to win the gold at UFC 149 in July of 2012. Barao’s last win came at UFC Fight Night 95 in September of 2016, where he defeated Phillipe Nover by unanimous decision.

Moffett (13-5-0-1NC) went winless during his time in the UFC, dropping bouts to Bryce Mitchell and Enrique Barzola, while fighting Chas Skelly to a no contest. Moffett also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 10, defeating Jacob Kilburn by second round submission. Moffett has picked up eight of 13 wins by way of submission, but he has yet to be defeated by the same method.

Taura MMA 12 is set for Saturday, November 21 from a location to be announced in Atlantic City, New Jersey with Renan Barao and Bobby Moffett headlining.
