A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 238 according to Phillip Thompson of the Chicago Tribune as #11 Ricardo Lamas is in action against #15 Calvin Kattar.
Lamas (19-7-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Darren Elkins at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Lamas has previously challenged for the UFC Featherweight Title, losing to then champion Jose Aldo at UFC 169. Lamas has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter, but none of those defeats have come by way of submission.
Kattar (19-3-0) has won three of four in UFC competition, with those wins coming over the trio of Andre Fili, Shane Burgos and Chris Fishgold. Kattar is a former American Steel Cagefighting Featherweight Champion, defeating Andrew Montanez to win the 145 pound gold at ASC 2. Kattar has seen ten of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter won eight of those encounters.
