A featherweight division attraction between #13 Ryan Hall and Ricardo Lamas will now happen on the recently announced UFC card for August 29.
Combate first reported the news, as the bout was originally set to happen earlier this year at the canceled UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City card.
Hall (8-1-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having picked up wins over Artem Lobov, Gray Maynard, BJ Penn and Darren Elkins. Hall was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, defeating the aforementioned Lobov by unanimous decision in the finals. Hall has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and three of those fights went the distance.
Lamas (19-8-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over the aforementioned Elkins at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Lamas hasn’t picked up a victory in well over a year, as the win over the previously mentioned Elkins came back in May of 2018. Lamas has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
The recently announced UFC card is set for Saturday, August 29 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
