Report: Sabina Mazo Faces JJ Aldrich At UFC 246

A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 246 as Sabina Mazo is in action against JJ Aldrich.

MMA Junkie reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.

Mazo (7-1-0) has won just one of two in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Shana Dobson at UFC 241. Mazo has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night Philadelphia. Mazo is a former LFA Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Shannon Sinn at LFA 37 to win the gold.

Aldrich (8-3-0) has won four of her last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Chanmi Jeon, Danielle Taylor, Polyana Viana and Lauren Mueller. Aldrich has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of decision. Aldrich has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to current or former UFC fighters.

UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
