Report Says UFC 215 Does Around 150,000 Buys

This past September, the UFC 215 pay-per-view took place and it was headlined by UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes earning a decision win over Valentina Shevchenko.

While the UFC doesn?t officially release their buy rates because they are a privately owned company, estimates still pop up that give people a look at just how well a pay-per-view sold.

In the case of the aforementioned UFC 215 pay-per-view, a report from Dave Meltzer of MMA Fighting says the show drew less than 150,000 buys. That is a major decline from the previous month?s UFC 214 pay-per-view, which drew in the range on 850,000 buys.

According to Meltzer, three of the last four UFC pay-per-views (UFC 212, UFC 213 & UFC 215) have drawn under 200,000 buys each.

Meltzer is also reporting that the recent UFC 216 card, which was headlined by Tony Ferguson defeating Kevin Lee for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title, is expected to feature similar numbers to UFC 215.

The UFC returns to pay-per-view on Saturday, November 4 with UFC 217 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. Three title fights will headline the card as Michael Bisping defends the middleweight belt against Georges St. Pierre, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends the women?s strawweight belt against Rose Namajunas and Cody Garbrandt defends the bantamweight belt against TJ Dillashaw.
