Report: Sijara Eubanks Faces Bethe Correia At UFC Fight Night Mexico City

A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Mexico City according to Combate as #14 Sijara Eubanks is in action against Bethe Correia.

Eubanks (4-3-0) has won two of three bouts under the UFC banner, defeating the duo of Lauren Murphy and Roxanne Modafferi. Eubanks has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with those defeats coming to fellow UFC veterans Katlyn Chookagian and Aspen Ladd (x2). Eubanks was supposed to fight for the right to become the first ever UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, but was pulled from the bout due to weight cutting issues.

Correia (10-4-1) has won just one of her last six bouts in the UFC, with that lone win coming against Jessica Eye at UFC 203. It has been almost three years since the last time Correia won a fight, as the win at UFC 203 took place on September of 2016. Correia has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 190.

UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, September 21 from the Arena Ciudad De Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
