Report: Three More Bouts Added To Bellator 213, DWTNCS Alum Canaan Kawaihae In Action

Three more fights have been added to Bellator 213 according to KHON 2 News as Nainoa Dung faces Kona Oliveira, Dustin Barca faces Isaac Hopps and Canaan Kawaihae faces Timothy Teves.

Dung (1-0-0) made his professional MMA debut earlier this year at X-1 World Events 50, defeating Kris Berberich by first round submission. Dung has no amateur MMA experience to speak of, with the fighters pro debut serving as his overall MMA experience.

Oliveira (1-0-0) also made his professional MMA debut earlier this year, defeating LJ Smith Portee by first round TKO at Legacy Fighting Alliance 45. Oliveira competed twice as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating the duo of Simon Shiota and Elijah Larkin.

Barca (1-0-0) has competed just one time as a professional MMA fighter, defeating Reno Remigio by second round TKO at Pro Elite: Arlovski vs. Lopez. Barca is also returning to action for the first time in over seven years, with his last bout taking place in August of 2011.

Hopps (4-3-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years. Hopps has competed a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and only one of his bouts has gone the distance.

Kawaihae (4-1-0-1NC) was last seen in action at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Chase Hooper. Kawaihae has seen just one of his professional/amateur MMA bouts go the distance and that was the aforementioned contest against Hooper.

Teves (2-0-0) is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, having turned pro in February of 2018. Teves also won three bouts as an amateur MMA competitor, with two of those victories coming by way of KO/TKO.

Bellator 213 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Valerie Letourneau headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
