Report: Three More Fights Added To UFC Fight Night Fortaleza, Demian Maia In Action

A three pack of fights have been added to UFC Fight Night Fortaleza according to Combate as #8 Demian Maia faces Lyman Good, #12 Alexa Grasso faces Marina Rodriguez and Junior Albini faces Dmitry Sosnovskiy.

Maia (25-9-0) enters the contest in the midst of a three fight losing streak, with one of those losses coming to UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley. Maia hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last victory coming against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 211.

Good (20-4-0-1NC) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Ben Saunders and Andrew Craig. Good is a former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion, defeating Omar De La Cruz to win the gold at Bellator 11.

Grasso (10-2-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout her UFC tenure, with the latest bout being a loss to Tatiana Suarez at UFC Fight Night Chile. Grasso has competed twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those bouts have gone the distance.

Rodriguez (10-0-1) has competed just once thus far in the UFC, fighting Randa Markos to a majority draw at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo 2018. Rodriguez also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 2, defeating Maria De Oliveira Neta by first round TKO.

Albini (14-4-0) has won just one of three fights during his UFC tenure and that lone win came over Timothy Johnson at UFC on Fox 25. Albini has been winless in his home country of Brazil since signing with the UFC last year, having lost at UFC 224 earlier this year.

Sosnovskiy (11-0-0) has competed just once thus far in the UFC, defeating Mark Godbeer by second round submission at UFC Fight Night London. Sosnovskiy is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over six years.

UFC Fight Night Fortaleza takes place on Saturday, February 2 from the Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, Brazil with Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
