A pair of bouts have been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai card as Brian Kelleher faces Ricky Simon, and Thiago Moises faces Jalin Turner.
MMA Fighting first reported Kelleher vs. Simon; meanwhile, Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported Moises vs. Turner.
Kelleher (21-11-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, defeating Ode Osbourne and Hunter Azure in that stretch. Simon (16-3-0) has won just one of his last three in the UFC. His last victory came over Ray Borg at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira.
Moises (13-4-0) has rotated wins-and-losses throughout his UFC run. He is coming off a second-round submission win over Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira. Turner (9-5-0) has won two of four during his time with the UFC. Those two wins are over Callan Potter and Joshua Culibao.
UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai takes place on Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event. Broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
