Report: UFC Fight Night Brasilia To Start At 3pm EST., Media Banned From Weigh-Ins

The coronavirus has been taking its toll on the sports world and one of the events affected by the virus is UFC Fight Night Brasilia.

While the event will move on in an empty arena setting, it is going to be doing so at a much earlier start time.

Aaron Bronsteter of TSN reports that the preliminary card will now begin at 3pm EST. as opposed to the original 5pm EST. start time, while the main card will begin at 6pm EST. instead of the originally announced 8pm EST. start time. Also, instead of being exclusively streamed live on ESPN+, both the main card and preliminary card will air on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.

Another change is also taking place tomorrow for UFC Fight Night Brasilia as the media has been banned from the official weigh-ins.

Raphael Marino of Combate, citing an ESPN press release, first reported the news. There is no word at this time as to how the weigh-in results will be given to the general public and media at this time.

UFC Fight Night Brasilia takes place on Saturday, March 14 from the Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil with Kevin Lee and Charles Oliveira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs across the ESPN family of channels.
