Joe Silva will be leaving the UFC at the end of 2016, and his replacement has been found.

According to FloSports managing editor Jeremy Botter, Legacy FC owner Mick Maynard will be joining the UFC. Maynard will replace longtime UFC matchmaker Joe Silva when he retires from his position at the end of the year.

Botter also indicated that Legacy's Colin Cantrell will also be moving to the UFC, but didn't say in what capacity. This news comes hot off of the heels of RFA and Legacy announcing that they've decided to merge, creating Legacy Fighting Alliance.

The Australian Maynard has long been involved in the sport, and his company had a working relationship with RFA before the merger.

Plans for 125-145 pound matchmaker Sean Shelby haven't been announced as of yet. Shelby did announce that he'll be attending this weekend's Invicta FC show, likely taking a look at talent.
