It appears that the UFC is returning to Fight Island at the end of this month with its five-week run beginning with UFC 253 on September 26 and ending with UFC 254 on October 24.
AG Fight first reported the news.
The schedule for the promotions return to Fight Island looks like this:
Saturday, September 26: UFC 253 (Israel Adesanya vs. Paulo Costa, Dominick Reyes vs. Jan Blachowicz)
Saturday, October 3: UFC Fight Island 4 (Holly Holm vs. Irene Aldana, Thiago Santos vs. Glover Teixeira)
Saturday, October 10: UFC Fight Island 5 (Marlon Moraes vs. Cory Sandhagen, Edson Barboza vs. Sodiq Yusuff)
Saturday, October 17: UFC Fight Island 6 (Brian Ortega vs. Chan Sung Jung, Katlyn Chookagian vs. Jessica Andrade)
Saturday, October 24: UFC 254 (Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje, Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris)
This second run on Fight Island is one event more than the first run, which featured four cards in total. The return to Fight Island also means that Dana White’s Contender Series Season 4 will most likely be postponed after the September 15 card until a date to be announced in November.
There has been no official statement yet from the UFC as to the promotion’s return to Fight Island later this month.
