Report: UFC Veteran Amanda Bobby Cooper Signs With Invicta FC

Invicta FC has another marquee name to add to their roster as the promotion has signed UFC veteran Amanda Bobby Cooper to the roster.

MMA Junkie first reported the signing, while stating that Cooper is expected to compete in the Phoenix Rising 2 tournament this September. No other participants have been announced for this September’s Phoenix Rising 2 tournament at this time, which is going to be contested at flyweight.

A newly signed Cooper did have a previous bout set up against Jamie Milanowski at Lights Out Championship 5 this September, but she says Invicta FC has no problems with what will go down in a few months.

“When this (Lights Out Championship) fight offer came in, I instantly messaged (Invicta), and they were awesome about it,” Cooper said. “Shannon Knapp is always ‘Team ABC.’ She was like, ‘Yep, I think this is perfect. We’re both on the same page.’ This is a good smart fight for me and I’m going to go in and do what I do and then get a fight for Invicta.”

Cooper won two of six during her time in the UFC, with those victories coming over the duo of Anna Elmose and Angela Magana.
