Report: UFC Veteran Travis Fulton Indicted On Child Porn Charges

Former UFC and WEC fighter Travis Fulton has reportedly been indicted on charges of child pornography.

Fulton, 43, was handed the indictment by a federal grand jury on Wednesday, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. He is reportedly being charged with sexual exploitation of a child, possession of child porn and receipt of child porn. Fulton has been awaiting trial for domestic violence in addition to the new child pornography charges.

The charges were unsealed on Friday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. The former UFC fighter pled not guilty. A trial has tentatively been set for April.

"The charges allege Fulton attempted to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct for the purpose taking pictures with a Canon PowerShot camera in November 2020, according to court records," the publication writes. "He is also accused of possessing a DataTraveler flash drive with child porn involving a child under age 12 between November 2018 and November 2020."

Fulton was already awaiting trial for willful injury and domestic assault charges. He is accused of repeatedly punching a woman in the head and back and threatening to kill her. The alleged incident took place in September 2019 in Waterloo, Iowa. The woman suffered jaw, nose and palate injuries, and required hospital care, according to records obtained by WC Courier.

“The defendant is a self-proclaimed professional fighter, with a twenty-year career, and the ability to do serious bodily injury with his hands,” a police officer investigating the case wrote in the court documents.

Fulton and the woman were detained earlier this month for violating a restraining order.

Fulton has competed in 320 professional mixed martial arts bouts and holds a record of 255–54–10 (1). He last competed in a winning effort at an M-1 event in 2019. He had two UFC bouts: losing to Pete Williams at UFC 20 and beating David Dodd at UFC 21, both in 1999.
