The UFC will hold four events in two weeks later this month at Fight Island, which is located at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Unlike the stateside UFC events during the coronavirus pandemic, fans will be allowed to attend the Fight Island cards.
MMA Fighting is reporting that certain “VIP Fans” are going to be allowed to attend Fight Island cards, but there will be less than two dozen VIP fans in attendance. All of the VIP fans would have to be invited to the card by the UFC brass, as the general public will not be able to attend any of the four Fight Island cards.
There is no word yet on whether or not the VIP fans will get tested for the coronavirus like everybody else who is taking part in the four Fight Island cards.
Also, unlike the cards being run at the UFC Apex, a 30ft. Octagon, which is the norm for most UFC cards, will get used for the four Fight Island cards.
Everything kicks off on Fight Island next weekend with UFC 251 and concludes on July 25 with UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till.
