A women’s strawweight division encounter has been added to UFC Fight Night Singapore according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA (citing ESPN) as Yan Xiaonon is in action against Ashley Yoder.
Xiaonon (11-1-0-1NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated the four pack of Kailin Curran, Viviane Pereira, Syuri Kondo and Angela Hill. Xiaonon has picked up four wins during her UFC tenure and each of those victories came by way of decision. Xiaonon suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came over nine years ago to Karina Hallinan at Martial Combat 10.
Yoder (7-4-0) comes into the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Amanda Bobby Cooper and Syuri Kondo. Yoder has seen her last five professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Yoder also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Kate Jackson.
UFC Fight Night Singapore takes place on Saturday, 26 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Ben Askren and Demian Maia headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
