Report: Yuri Villefort Replaces Kamal Magomedov In Titan FC 59 Main Event

MMA

Titan FC Interim Welterweight Champion Kamal Magomedov has been pulled from Titan FC 59 for undisclosed reasons, replacing him against Titan FC Welterweight Champion MIchael Graves is Yuri Villefort.

MMA Junkie first reported the change, but the bout will now just be for Grave?s welterweight title instead of a title unification bout.

Graves (8-1-2) became the welterweight champion with a unanimous decision win over Jared Gooden at Titan FC 53. Graves is going to be in action for the first time in just about a year, as his last fight took place in March of 2019. Graves also won two of three while competing in the UFC, with those wins coming over Vicente Luque and Randy Brown.

Villefort (11-7-0) enters the contest while riding a two fight losing streak and he hasn?t picked up a victory in over two years. Villefort competed in the first season of the PFL, dropping bouts to the duo of Rick Story and Joao Zeferino. Villefort has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.

Titan FC 59 takes place on Friday, February 28 from the Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Michael Graves and Kamal Magomedov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
