A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC on Fox 31 according to Farah Hannoun as Zak Cummings is going to be in action against Trevor Smith.
Cummings (21-6-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Alexander Yakovlev and Nathan Coy. Cummings is undefeated thus far at UFC On Fox events, having picked up victories at UFC On Fox 16 and UFC On Fox 24. Cummings has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of submission.
Smith (15-8-0) has won just one of his last three fights in the UFC, with that last win coming over Chris Camozzi at UFC Fight Night 109. Smith has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been over four years since one of his fights ended with a finish. Smith has picked up a total of fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, with more than half of those victories coming by some form of submission.
UFC On Fox 31 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Entertainment & Sports Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Al Iaquinta and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
