Zhumagulov (13-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Zhumagulov is a former Fight Nights Global Flyweight Champion, defeating UFC veterans Tyson Nam and Ali Bagautinov during that run. Zhumagulov has competed sixteen times as a professional MMA fighter and half of those encounters went the distance.

Espinosa (14-7-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Matt Schnell and Alex Perez. Espinosa has picked up a single win under the UFC banner and that came against Eric Shelton at UFC Fight Night Nashville. Espinosa competed twice on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, defeating the duo of Nick Urso and Riley Dutro.

UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan takes place on Saturday, June 13 from the Astana Arena in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
