UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili and Rose Namajunas seem to finally have a target date for their expected title clash.
According to a report from Combate's Raphael Marinho, the promotion is targeting Weili and Namajunas to headline UFC 261 on April 24 with Las Vegas as the host city for the event. The UFC is yet to officially confirm the bout, event, or location though. Weili is coming off her second title defense at UFC 248 in the Fight of the Year for 2020 and an instant classic against Joanna Jedrzejczyk, while Namajunas is coming off of a split-decision win over Jessica Andrade at UFC 251 avenging her loss to the Brazilian.
