Match By Match Recap

Garry Tonon vs. Jimmy Friedrich

The match begins with Friedrich falling to his back and he gets a hold of Tonon’s leg for a few moments, Friedrich nearly catches Tonon in a heel hook as he gets a hold of his leg again. Friedrich traps the leg of Tonon for a third time and Tonon quickly frees himself, Friedrich remains on his back as Tonon struggles to find a way to get a good top position. Tonon drops for a leg of Friedrich and he lets it go as Friedrich gets a hold of his leg again, Friedrich continues to block Tonon from getting any sort of advantage on him. Tonon rolls for the heel hook and Friedrich rolls to escape as Tonon stands again, Tonon finally gets in on Friedrich and he locks in the heel hook to force a tap out.

Adam Sachnoff vs. Rodrigo Antunes

The match begins with Antunes quickly pulling guard on Sachnoff, Sachnoff gets the half guard and he looks for the guillotine choke. Antunes scrambles and Sachnoff gains the side control position, Sachnoff starts looking for a better position as Antunes blocks the movements. Antunes rolls and he catches Sachnoff in the half guard, Sachnoff gets back to his feet before moving into the Z guard of Antunes. Sachnoff quickly moves to side control with an under hook on Antunes, Sachnoff retains side control while releasing the under hook on Antunes. Sachnoff pressures Antunes by pressing his shoulder into the side of his head, Sachnoff transitions to the full mount on Antunes. Antunes holds Sachnoff down and Sachnoff backs away as regulation ends.

Overtime #1

Sachnoff goes first and he takes back control position on Antunes, Sachnoff quickly locks the body triangle on Antunes. Sachnoff locks in the rear naked choke and a tap out follows.

Antunes chooses the spider web position on Sachnoff, Antunes quickly goes for the arm bar and Sachnoff escapes to win in overtime.

The match begins with Sa using his hands to keep O’Brien at a distance, Sa jumps guard on a standing O’Brien. O’Brien falls to the ground and he is trapped in the full guard of Sa, Sa opens his guard and both fighters roll for heel hooks until Sa taps out.

Travis Moore vs. Kyle Boehm

The match begins with Moore immediately dropping to his back and Boehm gets a modified half guard, Boehm transitions to back control as Moore tried wrapping up his leg. Boehm locks in the rear naked choke and a tap out follows.

Vinny Magalhaes vs. Tom Breese

The match begins with some hand fighting between the two combatants, Magalhaes gets the jump guard on a standing Breese. Breese falls to the ground and Magalhaes sweeps him to get top position, Magalhaes transitions to the full mount on Breese. Breese scrambles and he momentarily goes after the leg of Magalhaes before standing up, Magalhaes pulls Breese to the ground by controlling both of his arms. Magalhaes gains top position and the half guard on Breese, Breese scrambles to his feet and both fighters are now standing. Magalhaes goes to his back while controlling a leg on Breese, Breese gets to the ground as Magalhaes uses the Z guard. Breese rolls for a heel hook and Magalhaes escapes to get top position, Magalhaes transitions to side control on Breese. Magalhaes transitions to the full mount on Breese, Breese shakes Magalhaes off of the full mount while attempting a heel hook. Magalhaes scrambles and he catches Breese in the heel hook to force a tap out.

Eliot Kelly vs. Jacen Flynn

The match begins with the competitors doing a little hand fighting, Kelly tries controlling the head of Flynn to get him to the ground. Flynn purposely goes to his back and Kelly gets side control, Flynn spins to the butterfly guard and he tries pulling Kelly to his guard. The fighters get back to their feet and Flynn purposely goes to his back, Kelly returns to side control on Flynn. Flynn again rolls to the butterfly guard and both men get back to their feet, Flynn again falls to his back and Kelly gains side control once again. Kelly starts looking at trapping the head of Flynn before Flynn regains the butterfly guard, Kelly stands up and resettles to the side control position on Flynn. Flynn is purposely giving Kelly good positions and Kelly cannot do anything with it, Flynn turtles up on his knees and Kelly decides to stand up. Flynn stands up as well and the fighters are hand fighting again, Kelly briefly holds Flynn in a front head lock position. Flynn purposely goes to his back again and Kelly settles in the full guard position, Kelly looks for position as Flynn tries to elevate him and regulation ends.

Overtime #1

Flynn goes first and he chooses back control on Kelly, Kelly quickly escapes to end the attempt from Flynn.

Kelly goes next and he chooses back control on Flynn, Kelly traps a single leg on Flynn while maintaining back control. Flynn tries standing and he goes back to the ground, Kelly transitions to the half guard for a few moments before regaining back control. Flynn is able to get free and we move to the next overtime.

Overtime #2

Flynn again chooses back control on Kelly, Flynn quickly locks Kelly in the body triangle while looking for the rear naked choke. Kelly spins and is able to escape from Flynn.

Kelly goes next and he chooses back control again on Flynn, Kelly again decides to trap a single leg on Flynn. Kelly rolls for the twister and a tap out follows.

Matt Kirchwehm vs. Ryan Walsh

The match begins with both competitors trying to control the others head, Kirchwehm controls the head of Walsh and he tried dragging him to the ground. Kirchwehm pulls guard and Walsh quickly moves to the side control position, Walsh transitions to the half guard while controlling the head of Kirchwehm. Kirchwehm sweeps to get top position and a scramble forces both men back to their feet, the fighters are doing some more hand fighting until Kirchwehm pulls guard. Walsh quickly gains the half guard on Kirchwehm while pressuring him with his shoulder, Walsh transitions to side control on Kirchwehm. Walsh rolls for the arm in guillotine choke and Kirchwehm gets top position due to that, Kirchwehm gains the half guard while briefly setting up a kimura. Kirchwehm gains back control on a scrambling Walsh, Kirchwehm traps one of Walsh’s arms while maintaining back control. Kirchwehm rolls for the rear naked choke and Walsh escapes to regain top position, Walsh stands up as Kirchwehm remains on his back. Walsh gets a hold of Kirchwehm’s leg for a few moments, Walsh finally gets the side control position on Kirchwehm. Walsh quickly transitions to the full mount on Kirchwehm, Walsh opts to stand up instead of engaging with Kirchwehm and regulation ends.

Overtime #1

Kirchwehm goes first and he chooses the spider web position on Walsh, Kirchwehm looks for the arm bar and Walsh rolls around to attempt to break free. Walsh frees his arm to escape from Kirchwehm.

Walsh chooses back control on Kirchwehm, Kirchwehm tries to get the bottom hook off of him so he can escape Walsh. Kirchwehm quickly escapes as Walsh loses control of him.

Overtime #2

Kirchwehm again chooses the spider web position on Walsh, Kirchwehm rolls for the arm bar and Walsh starts plotting his escape. Walsh steps over Kirchwehm and he briefly loses his grip on his own arm, Wallsh eventually frees his arm and escapes.

Walsh chooses the spider web position on Kirchwehm, Kirchwehm tries using his legs to shove Walsh off of him. Kirchwehm rolls backwards to escape Walsh.

Overtime #3

Kirchwehm chooses the back control position on Walsh, Walsh almost escapes and Kirchwehm reapplies the body triangle on him. Walsh tries rolling to escape and Kirchwehm maintains control, Kirchwehm just keeps Walsh tangled up to add to his time. Walsh tries turtling up for a few moments as Kirchwehm stays on his back, Kirchwehm and Walsh tangle their legs up and Walsh eventually escapes.

Walsh chooses back control on Kirchwehm and Walsh seemingly sets up for the arm triangle choke, Kirchwehm scrambles and is able to shake Walsh off of him.

The match begins with Strauss scoring a takedown and getting side control, Strauss quickly catches Rosenzweig with the Americana to force a tap out.

Garry Tonon vs. Adam Sachnoff

The match begins with Sachnoff quickly going to the seated position, Tonon quickly gets on top of Sachnoff before standing back up. Sachnoff stays seated as he tries controlling the right leg of Tonon, Tonon briefly drops to the ground while looking for a kimura. Tonon stands up and he nearly catches Sachnoff in a triangle choke from out of nowhere, Tonon stands over Sachnoff before getting side control when he goes to the ground. Sachnoff sweeps Tonon to get the half guard and top position, Tonon sweeps Sachnoff again and he nearly gets side control. Tonon nearly gets an arm bar on a scrambling Sachnoff, Tonon stands up again until he gets into a seated position in front of a seated Sachnoff. Tonon hits the ground and he rolls for a toe hold on Sachnoff, Tonon transitions to a back crucifix position on Sachnoff. Sachnoff frees an arm and Tonon gains back control on him, Tonon thinks about going for the twister before Sachnoff scrambles. Tonon stands up and he tries controlling the head of a seated Sachnoff before gaining the half guard, Tnon rolls for the heel hook and a tap out follows.

Daniel O’Brien vs. Kyle Boehm

The match begins with Boehm pulling guard on O’Brien while keeping him elevated, Boehm sweeps O’Brien while keeping a knee on his belly. Boehm rolls for the heel hook and O’Brien pushes him away with his legs to break free, O’Brien quickly gets on top of Boehm. Boehm tries elevating O’Brien while underneath of him, O’Brien transitions to the half guard on Boehm. O’Brien decides to stand up and Boehm tries controlling his leg, O’Brien gets back on top of Boehm while stacking him. Boehm rolls for the heel hook and O’Brien frees his leg to keep top position, O’Brien transitions to side control on Boehm. O’Brien tries cradling Boehm in an attempt to capture one of his limbs, O’Brien drives on Boehm while gaining the half guard position. O’Brien transitions to the full mount position on Boehm as regulation ends.

Overtime #1

Boehm goes first and he chooses back control on O’Brien, Boehm quickly locks O’Brien in the body triangle. Boehm tries locking in the rear naked choke on O’Brien, O’Brien escapes more choke attempts before spinning and breaking free to end the attempt.

O’Brien is next and he chooses back control on Boehm, Boehm quickly spins free to end O’Brien’s attempt.

Overtime #2

Boehm again chooses back control on O’Brien, Boehm quickly locks O’Brien in the body triangle once again. O’Brien tries to loosen the body triangle and Boehm maintains it, O’Brien eventually spins to get on top of Boehm to end his attempt.

O’Brien chooses the spider web again Boehm, Boehm tries escaping from underneath O’Brien as O’Brien moves to a seated like position. O’Brien finally catches Boehm in the arm bar to get the tap out.

Vinny Magalhaes vs. Eliot Kelly

The match begins with Magalhaes goes to the seated position, Kelly gets his legs tangled up with Magalhaes as he goes to the ground. Kelly breaks free and stands back up, Kelly settles in the half guard of Magalhaes and Magalhaes quickly rolls for a heel hook. Magalhaes gets a knee on the chest of Kelly before rolling for more heel hooks, Magalhaes transitions to side control on Kelly. Kelly scrambles and he finds a way to stand up before getting the half guard on Magalhaes, Magalhaes scrambles and both fighters get back to their feet. Magalhaes goes to his back again as Kelly remains standing, Kelly moves into the open guard of Magalhaes. Magalhaes and Kelly both get back to their feet with some hand fighting comes afterwards, Magalhaes goes back to the seated position and he goes for a heel hook before they both get back to their feet. Magalhaes goes to the seated position again and Kelly gets on top of him, Kelly gets the open guard of Magalhaes while controlling his head. Kelly cannot get good position on Magalhaes and he decides to stand back up, Kelly gets back in the half guard of Magalhaes. Magalhaes rolls for the heel hook again and Kelly escapes as regulation ends.

Magalhaes goes first and he chooses the spider web position on Kelly, Magalhaes quickly gets the arm bar submission on Kelly.

Kelly chooses back control on Magalhaes, Kelly looks for a submission and he is unable to secure a submission as time expires.

The match begins with the competitors hand fighting and battling for position, Strauss pulls guard on Kirchwehm to get the fight to the ground. Strauss sweeps Kirchwehm and he gets side control, Strauss briefly gains full mount before again getting side control on Kirchwehm. Strauss transitions to the back control position before standing back up, Straus again gains side control while keeping a knee on the belly of Kirchwehm. Strauss stands up and Kirchwehm finds a way to stand back up as well, Strauss pulls guard on Kirchwehm to get the bout back to the ground. Strauss sweeps to regain top position on Kirchwehm, Strauss gains the full mount position on Kirchwehm. Strauss decides to just stand up and Kirchwehm tries controlling his leg, Strauss quickly regains the full mount as he gets back on the ground. Strauss transitions to back control on Kirchwehm, Strauss gets back to his feet after he cannot catch Kirchwehm in a submission. Kirchwehm tries grabbing the leg of Strauss and Strauss breaks free, Kirchwehm gets to his feet and Strauss decides to roll onto his back. Kirchwehm remains standing as he cannot find a way to get a good position on Strauss and regulation ends.

Kirchwehm chooses back control on Strauss, Strauss starts rolling and scrambling to break free, which he eventually does.

Strauss chooses the back control position on Kirchwehm, Kirchwehm quickly shakes Strauss off of him to end his attempt.

Overtime #2

Kirchwehm again chooses to go with back control against Strauss, Strauss continues hopping and bouncing until he is able to break free.

Strauss chooses the spider web position for his next attempt, Kirchwehm immediately kicks to his feet and frees his arm to escape.

Overtime #3

Kirchwehm again goes with the back control position on Strauss, Kirchwehm traps just one leg on Strauss while maintaining control. Kirchwehm decides to transition to the body triangle on Strauss, Kirchwehm locks in the rear naked choke to force a tap out.

Strauss goes with back control for his final attempt against Kirchwehm, Kirchwehm rolls backwards and frees his arm for the escape.

The match begins with Tonon trying to pull guard on O’Brien, Tonon finally pulls guard and gets O’Brien to the ground on the third attempt. O’Brien settles in the half guard position of Tonon, O’Brien looks for an arm submission as Tonon transitions to back control. Tonon briefly looks for the twist against O’Brien, both competitors eventually make their way to their feet. Tonon scores a takedown on O’Brien and he gets back control, Tonon tries scrambling to get the full mount and O’Brien gets top position. O’Brien gets back to his feet and Tonon drags him back to the ground, O’Brien quickly moves to get top position on Tonon. O’Brien transitions to the full mount position on Tonon, Tonon starts rolling for the heel hook and O’Brien scrambles to gain top position. Tonon sweeps O’Brien and he gets side control, Tonon rolls for the kimura and O’Brien rolls to break free and both men stand up. Tonon then pulls guard on O’Brien and he gets back control, O’Brien nearly catches Tonon in the guillotine choke from an odd position during a scramble. Tonon catches O’Brien in the triangle choke and O’Brien stacks him to get free, O’Brien gets free and he gets the full mount as regulation ends.

Tonon starts off with the back control position on O’Brien, Tonon quickly locks O’Brien in the body triangle. Tonon hunts for the rear naked choke and O’Brien continues defending until he gets free. O’Brien chooses the spider web position against Tonon, Tonon quickly escapes as O’Brien goes for the arm bar.

Overtime #2

Tonon again chooses back control against O’Brien, O’Brien quickly gets free after Tonon messes up his advance. O’Brien again goes with the spider web position, Tonon quickly escapes again after the initial arm bar attempt.

Overtime #3

Tonon decides to go with the spider web against O’Brien, Tonon quickly goes for the arm bar and O’Brien scrambles to break free. O’Brien decides to go with back control against Tonon, O’Brien secures just a single leg on Tonon while maintaining control. Tonon scrambles to break free as O’Brien goes for top position.

The match begins with hand fighting from both competitors Magalhaes goes to his back while holding the arm of Kirchwehm. Kirchwehm settles in the Z guard of Magalhaes before getting the full guard, Magalhaes catches Kirchwehm in the triangle choke while applying a kimura to force a tap out.

The match begins with Tonon going to his back and Magalhaes quickly gaining top position, Magalhaes tries controlling the arm of Tonon. Tonon goes back to his feet before going to his back again, Magalhaes gets tripped up by Tonon and Tonon goes for the heel hook. Magalhaes spins Tonon and he breaks free of the submission attempt, Magalhaes gains the half guard on Tonon. Magalhaes looks for the straight arm bar and he releases it to get north/south position, Magalhaes stands back up and Tonon remains seated. Magalhaes gains the open guard position against Tonon, Tonon scrambles and he almost catches Magalhaes in the arm bar. Magalhaes remains in top position against Tonon, the fighters stand up and the hand fighting begins between the two. Tonon starts trying to drag Magalhaes back to the ground, Tonon pulls guard and he looks to control the leg of Magalhaes. Magalhaes stands up as he applies a toe hold to Tonon, Tonon escapes and he gets back up to his feet again. Tonon drops to his back and quickly gets back to his feet, Tonon drops down again as regulation ends.

Magalhaes goes first and he chooses the spider web position, Tonon quickly escapes as Magalhaes goes for the arm bar.

Tonon is up next and he chooses the back control position, Magalhaes rolls multiple times to escape the grip of Tonon.

Overtime #2

Magalhaes again chooses the spider web position on Tonon, Tonon spins and frees his arm from Magalhaes.

Tonon again goes with the back control position on Magalhaes, Tonon quickly locks Magalhaes in the body triangle. Tonon switches to just control a single leg of Magalhaes, Magalhaes eventually shakes Tonon off of him to get free.

Overtime #3

Magalhaes opt with the back control position this time against Tonon, Magalhaes quickly locks Tonon with the body triangle. Magalhaes looks for the choke and Tonon spins at the right time to break free.

Tonon again goes with back control against Magalhaes, Tonon also locks Magalhaes in the body triangle once again. Magalhaes spins at the right time to escape the grasp of Tonon.
