Jessica Andrade is an instant contender after her first-round finish of Katlyn Chookagian at UFC Fight Island 6.
Andrade is the first woman in UFC history to win in three different weight classes. Take a look at her handy work, and that of other main card fighters, with the highlights below.
Jessica Andrade (no. 2 strawweight) def. Katlyn Chookagian (no. 1) by TKO via strikes (4:55, R1)
Andrade had her way with Chookagian, spinning her around with a body shot and closing out the show with a subsequent hook to the mid-section.
Jim Crute def. Modestas Bukauskas by KO via strikes (2:01, R1)
Crute makes short work of Bukauskas, blitzing him with powerful punches. It took a hair over two minutes for the referee to wave things off.
James Krause def. Claudio Silva by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Krause kept things in his world, fending off Silva's takedowns and landing with more technical, accurate strikes. He seemingly tore his knee in the first round but won each round on the scorecards.
Jonathan Martinez def. Thomas Almeida by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Martinez and Almeida opened the main card with a banger. The two featherweights landed similair numbers on the feet and stunned one another; however, it was Martinez who landed the more impactful blows each round.
