Video: Trevin Jones Scores Massive Upset TKO After Nearly Being Finished At UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar

Trevin Jones scored an incredible comeback finish after giving up a probable 10-8 round to Timur Valiev in the opening bout of UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar.

Talk about a comeback! Jones was crushed to the body and all but finished in the opening stanza of his fight with Valiev on Saturday. Valiev landed a thudding body punch that had Jones keeled over. Jones absorbed punches, elbow, knees and kicks to the head in an effort to protect his body as it recovered. The debutant rallied late in the round and scored a takedown to survive. The whirlwind of strikes by Taliev arguably earned him a 10-8 in the first.

Jones came to life in the second, landing a big check hook that floored Taliev. Jones followed his opponent to the ground and landed additional strikes. The stoppage was arguably a little early but it was an impressive come-from-behind effort by Jones. The winner was more than a four-to-one underdog according to some betting sites.

The gutsy performance earned him praise from his colleagues, including UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski.
