Match ups have been announced for the semi-finals of the light grand prix according to MMA Fighting, which will see Pitbull take on Gustavo and Musaev will take on Case. Those semi-final bouts will take place at Rizin 20 on December 29, while the finals will happen two days later on December 21.
Pitbull advanced to the semi-finals with a first round TKO win over Tatsuya Kawajiri, while Gustavo got into the next round by defeating Hiroto Uesako by doctor’s stoppage. Musaev would punch his ticket to the semi-finals with a first round TKO win over UFC veteran Damien Brown, while Case earned his spot by defeating Roberto De Souza by first round TKO.
Rizin 20 takes place on Sunday, December 29 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with no main event announced at this time. Rizin 21 takes place on Tuesday, December 31 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with no main event announced at this time.
