Rose Namajunas Is The Underdog For UFC 237 Title Fight

MMA

UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas is expected to defend the gold against #1 ranked Jessica Andrade this coming May at UFC 237.

Best Fight Odds have released their opening odds for the title fight and Namajunas is coming in as the underdog at +145, while Andrade will enjoy the status as favorite at -175. That would mean that a $100 bet on Namajunas would give the gambler at net profit of $245 if the champion wins, while a bet of the same amount on Andrade would bring in a net gain of $57.14.

It should be noted that the odds will fluctuate back and forth until the bout itself actually starts.

This isn’t the first time that Namajunas has been the underdog in fights, as UFC 237 will mark the fourth straight bout that Namajunas came in as the underdog. The last time that Namajunas was the favorite, according to Best Fight Odds, was when she fought Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 201 in July of 2016.

UFC 237 takes place on Saturday, May 11 from a location to be announced in Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
