Reports coming from the Super Omsk news agency out of Russia are stating that Fedonenko attacked an Armenian immigrant named Vage Zalibekyanna. The beating sent the immigrant to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police would search the apartment of Fedonenko, where “paraphernalia similar to the ones used by skinheads" were found.

Fedonenko only fought once as a professional MMA fighter, dropping a fight to Arthur Kascheev at a World Warriors Fighting Championships event in February 2015.

Fedonenko accomplished more as an amateur MMA fighter, taking second place in the 2013 “Cup Of The Golden Helmet” tournament and he represented the Omsk branch of the Russian MMA Union. Fedonenko, prior to his arrest, had been studying at the Omsk Academy Of The Russian Interior, but he abandoned that to focus on police/patrol work in the region.
