The promotion apparently has its first entrant into the season two heavyweight playoffs, as Satoshi Ishii claims to have signed with the promotion and will also be competing for the $1 million prize.
It was through Twitter that Ishii made the announcement:
Ishii is 17-8-1 as a professional MMA fighter, with notable victories coming over Ikuhisa Minowa, Katsuyori Shibata, Jerome Le Banner, Tim Sylvia, Sean McCorkle, Kerry Schall, Pedro Rizzo, Jeff Monson, Kazuyika Fujita, Philip De Fries and Heath Herring.
A newly signed Ishii also competed twice under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping bouts to the duo of Rampage Jackson and King Mo. No other fighters have been announced at heavyweight for season two of the PFL, which is expected to take place later this year.
