Another title bout has been added to the Cage Warriors 89 card as Karl Amoussou is defending the welterweight title against UFC veteran Dominique Steele.
Amoussou (24-7-2) is making the first defense of the championship, which he won by defeating Matt Inman by first round TKO at CWFC 80. Amoussou enters the fight on the strength of a seven fight winning streak and six of those wins came by first round finish. Amoussou also competed a total of nine times in Bellator MMA and he had also challenged for the promotions welterweight title.
Steele (14-9-0) is competing for the first time since his UFC departure, which came after a loss to Luke Jumeau at UFC Fight Night 110. Steele hasn’t earned a victory in just over two years and that last win came over Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night 79. Steele did compete a total of five times under the UFC banner and he earned a record of 1-4-0 in those five fights.
Cage Warriors 89 takes place on Saturday, November 25 from the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium with Karl Amoussou and Dominique Steele headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
