Shawn Porter To Fight On November 4 Barclays Center Card

Shawn Porter has been added to the already stacked November 4 Barclays Center.

Porter made the announcement official via social media and said he will fight Adrian Granados on the card, which will be broadcasted on Showtime.

The card was originally headlined by Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz for Wilder's WBC heavyweight championship, but Wilder's participation on the card has now been in question since Ortiz failed a drug test and the fight has been canceled. There is still no word on if Wilder will still fight on the card.

Porter hasn't fought since defeating Andre Berto in April in a WBC welterweight title eliminator. Porter had been set to fight unified WBC and WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman, but Thurman is recovering from elbow surgery. Porter was set to fight on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor FOX prelim card, but withdrew due to personal reasons. Had Porter won his fight and remained healthy, he would have been ordered to fight Danny Garcia for the interim WBC welterweight title.

Granados, on the other hand, last fought Adrien Broner back in February and lost via split decision, ending a five-fight win streak for Granados.

Also on the November 4 card is Bermane Stiverne vs. Dominic Breazeale in a WBC heavyweight title eliminator as well as Sergey Lipinets vs. Akihiro Kondo for the vacant IBF junior welterweight title.
