Steve-O of Jackass fame wants to see McGregor win the bout, mainly so he can see McGregor face Jorge Masvidal next.
“I shouldn’t say this because I don’t like to be divisive or polarizing, but that’s pretty much the only reason – because I want Jorge to get paid,” Steve-O told MMA Junkie.
Masvidal and McGregor have expressed interest in facing each other in the past, which is something that UFC President Dana White has spoken out against.
The Jackass star also says that the odds for tonight’s bout favor the former two division champion, which is another reason why he thinks McGregor should win.
“The oddsmakers tend to get it right, I feel like – especially when it’s so lopsided,” he said. “I mean, we’ve seen bigger discrepancies in the odds, but anytime you’ve got an over -300 favorite, I think that kind of says what’s going to happen.”
