Stipe Miocic Wants To Speak With Colby Covington About Comments Made To His Wife

UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic regained the championship by defeating Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 241

Former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington was in attendance at the event as well and he had allegedly said some things to Miocic’s wife, which Miocic would like to talk to Covington about.

“I’m not talking about that kid. I’m kinda upset with that kid,” Miocic said on 77 WABC (via Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting). “He was saying stuff to my wife, after my fight. I’m gonna have to talk to him about that. I’m not trying to start anything here, I’m just saying, a normal conversation. I’m not gonna go out and take his head off. I just want to talk to him like a normal person.”

There is no word at this time as to what was said by Covington to the UFC Heavyweight Champion’s wife.

Miocic said there may have been curse words exchanged between his wife and Covington, but Miocic’s manager has not revealed what was said.

“My wife was walking to the cage, and I guess he was saying something to her and my manager being the man he is told him to shut his . . . He told him to shut the f*ck up,” Miocic said. “To this day my manager won’t tell me what he said, so I’m going to find out. I’m very good, I’m like the FBI. I will find out what he said and I’m just gonna go up to him and talk to him about it.”

Covington has yet to comment on the situation, but he also got into several near-brawls at the UFC 241 card with other fighters.
