The 29-year-old Flanagan recently signed with MTK Global to a management deal, joining the aforementioned boxers who have also signed with the company. Flanagan is coming off two consecutive losses, the first one being against Maurice Hooker for the WBO junior welterweight title. Afterwards, Flanagan then entered the World Boxing Super Series 140-pound tournament where he lost to Regis Prograis in the first round.

Flanagan once held the WBO lightweight title from 2015 to 2017 with his title reign starting with a win over Jose Zepeda. Flanagan would go on to defend his title five times before vacating the belt to move up in weight.

Segu has fought professionally since 2009, amassing a 19-8-2 record. Segu currently holds the WBF African lightweight title and has won three of his last four fights dating back in 2018. The 28-year-old Segu is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision win over David Rajuili.

The July 12 card will also see former world title challenger Martin Murray in action while Jazza Dickens takes on Nathaniel May in the main event. Former secondary super middleweight titleholder Rocky Fielding was originally scheduled to fight on the card, but he suffered an injury that will prevent him from competing.
