Three Mayweather Promotions Boxers To Fight On April 5 ShoBox Card

Several prospects from Mayweather Promotions are set to make their ShoBox: The New Generation debut in an upcoming fight on April 5.

Undefeated super bantamweight Angelo Leo will fight Neil Tabanao in the main event of a ShoBox tripleheader that will air on Showtime live Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas. The card also features Leo's stablemates Xavier Martinez and Andres Cortes in separate bouts.

Leo has won all 16 of his pro bouts since making his debut back in 2012. The 24-year-old already fought once this year, winning an eight-round decision against Alberto Torres back in February after dropping Torres twice in the fight. Tabanao, a former WBO Oriental featherweight titleholder, has won four straight fights, capturing the WBF Asia Pacific super bantamweight title in the process.

Martinez will face John Vincent Moralde in a 10-round super featherweight bout in the co-main event. Martinez is also undefeated as a pro, winning nine of his 13 fights from inside the distance, and is coming off a fifth-round knockout victory over Deivi Julio Bassa back in February. Moralde has won three of his last five fights and has faced the likes of Jamel Herring and Toka Kahn Clary during that span.

Lastly, the opening bout of the telecast will see Cortes take on once-beaten Jahmal Dyer in an eight-round super featherweight bout. Cortes has won all 10 of his pro bouts, winning six of them by knockout. Dyer sports a 9-1 record and has won his last five fights since suffering his first loss back in 2018.
