Tim Sylvia Wants UFC To Pay For 2nd Surgery For Injury Suffered At UFC 48 **Graphic Photos Inside**

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia lost the title to former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at UFC 48 in 2004.

Sylvia lost the title due to a technical submission after Mir broke his arm during an arm bar attempt and that arm injury required surgery, which the UFC paid for.

The fighter is now taking to Instagram to reveal that he needs a second surgery on the injured arm, sixteen years later, and the UFC is allegedly refusing to pay for it:

So my arm been giving me problems for over a year now. The screws are backing out from my arm break when i fought @thefrankmir my dr. Contacted the @ufc cause it was paid for by them the first time. Sort of under workman’s comp. The ufc says it’s not there problem and will not cover it. I don’t have insurance and it’s going to cost well over 10,000 dollars to get fixed. Any thoughts on what i should do?
