The Legacy Fighting Alliance Women’s Flyweight Title is going to be defended at LFA 16 as champion Andrea Lee defends against Davina Maciel.
Lee (7-2-0) is going to be making the first defense of her championship, as she defeated Heather Bessett at LFA 4 to win the gold. Lee is also going to be entering the fight riding a three fight winning streak, which includes wins over the aforementioned Heather Bessett, Jenny Liou and Liz Tracy. Lee also competed six times under the Invicta FC banner, earning victories over Shannon Sinn, Rachael Ostovich, Jenny Liou and Liz Tracy.
Maciel (6-1-0) is entering the fight riding a three fight winning streak, defeating Nalva Freitas, Gilsely Perea and Kiara Molina. Maciel has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to UFC veteran Claudia Gadelha at Vision Fight 1 in December 2009. Maciel will also be competing outside of her native Brazil for the first time in her professional MMA career, which has lasted over a decade.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 16 takes place on Friday, July 16 from The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas with Andrea Lee and Davina Marciel headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
