Title Fight, Renzo Gracie Retirement Bout Slated For One Championship: Reign Of Kings

Next month’s One Championships: Reign Of Kings event has its featured fight and it is for the vacant interim bantamweight title as Kevin Belingon faces Martin Nguyen.

Belingon (18-5-0) enters the contest while riding a five fight winning streak and the fighter hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years. Belingon has spent the last six-plus years competing under the One Championships banner, holding a record of 9-5-0 in the promotion. Belingon has suffered a total of five defeats as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet get a loss by way of KO/TKO.

Nguyen (11-2-0) is looking to hold a third title at the same time in the promotion, as he is already the One Championships Featherweight & Lightweight Champion. Nguyen has previously challenged for the promotion’s bantamweight title, losing to current champion Bibiano Fernandes at One Championships: Iron Will. Nguyen has seen just two of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, holding a 1-1-0 record in those encounters.

Also on the card, MMA legend Renzo Gracie is set to compete for the final time as he faces Yuki Kondo in a retirement bout.

One Championship: Reign Of Kings takes place on Friday, July 27 from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines with Kevin Belingon and Martin Nguyen headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on the One Championships app.
