Tito Ortiz Wins City Council Election In California

"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz is now a Huntington Beach city councillor.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion is now officially a city councillor in his hometown of Huntington Beach, California. Ortiz finished first among the 15 candidates with 14.26% of the vote and a total amount of 34,901 votes, according to MMA Junkie, via 100% of the precincts reporting.

Ortiz, an avid supporter of current United States President Donald Trump, last competed at Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto in 2019, defeating Alberto Del Rio by first-round submission. On his official website, Ortiz says that he wants to make “Huntington Beach safe again.”

There is no word yet as to whether or not Ortiz plans on continuing his professional MMA career while being a member of the Huntington Beach City Council.
