TJ Dillashaw Calls Hypothetical Urijah Faber Fight His Easiest Payday Ever

TJ Dillashaw became a two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion when he defeated Cody Garbrandt by second round knockout in the co-main event of UFC 217.

The new champion has been involved in a longtime feud with the retired Urijah Faber and Dillashaw calls a potential bout against his former mentor the easiest payday ever.

“That’s hilarious man. It sounds like the easiest payday ever. I mean it’s just comical. I mean, come out of retirement, get a title shot off of what, losing to Jimmy Rivera and looking like crap in his fights?,” Dillashaw said on BJ Penn Radio.

Faber and Dillashaw’s issues began well over a year ago after the bantamweight champion left Team Alpha Male to train with Duane Ludwig in Colorado.

Dillashaw is considering the chance to pump up Faber so he can get his easy payday and put the feud behind him for good.

“I mean it’s hilarious. But, like I said, it’d be an easy payday, so I guess I shouldn’t be laughing at it. I should be pumping him up,” says Dillashaw.

It was at UFC On Fox 22 where the former World Extreme Cagefighting Bantamweight Champion retired after a decision victory over the also now retired Brad Pickett.
