Top 10 Strawweight Added To UFC Fight Night: Mexico City

A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Mexico City as #9 Randa Markos takes on Alexa Grasso.

Markos (7-4-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout her UFC run, with her last fight being a decision win over former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza at UFC Fight Night 105. Markos competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, making it to the semi-finals before losing to Rose Namajunas. Markos also competed in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, losing to UFC veteran Justine Kish by unanimous decision at RFA 12.

Grasso (9-1-0) is looking tor rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came to Felice Herrig at UFC Fight Night 104 earlier this year. Grasso did earn a victory in her UFC debut over Heather Clark at UFC Fight Night 98. Grasso also competed four times in the Invicta Fighting Championships, defeating Mizuki Inoue, Alida Gray, Jodie Esquibel and Ashley Cummins.

UFC Fight Night: Mexico City takes place on Saturday, August 5 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
