A top 15 heavyweight division clash is the latest addition to the upcoming UFC 213 card as #9 Travis Browne will be taking on #14 Aleksei Oleinik.
Browne (18-6-1) will be entering the fight while on a three fight losing streak, with the trio of losses coming to Derrick Lewis, Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum. Browne has only won just one fight in the last two years, which was a submission win over Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night 81. Four of the last five losses that Browne has suffered have come to former UFC Heavyweight Champions.
Oleinik (51-10-1) has won three of four fights under the UFC banner, having defeated the trio of Anthony Hamilton, Jared Rosholt and Viktor Pesta. Oleinik once competed in a Bellator MMA Heavyweight Tournament several years back, but lost in the semi-finals to Mike Hayes. Oleinik is also a longtime veteran of the Oplot Challenge promotion out of Russia, where he has earned six victories..
UFC 213 takes place on Saturday, July 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
