UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley hasn?t been seen in the Octagon since defeating Demian Maia by decision at UFC 214.
As far as a potential super fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre goes, the current welterweight champ calls the whole thing disrespectful.
?No, that?s (the potential super fight) a disrespect to me. [St-Pierre] probably [will call out McGregor], but he?s gonna have to be honest with the fans and say, ?I?m here for money.? And that?s okay. There?s no shame in that. . . Just know I?m gonna call him out on that. Win, lose, or draw, I?m gonna want to fight the winner of that fight, Bisping or Georges. Then I?m going to want to come back and see all this fresh new talent in the welterweight division and I?m gonna want to show them a lesson too,? Woodley said on The Morning Wood Show.
GSP has been asked in the past about a bout with McGregor and the former UFC Welterweight Champion says it?s a fight he isn?t targeting.
Even though Woodley doesn?t like what GSP could do, the champion does feel that his Canadian counterpart is quite smart in the moves he makes.
?He?s smart. He?s a PPV king. He already did what he needed to do in the welterweight division. Win or lose, it?s not gonna do anything to tarnish his career against Bisping and also he wants to make money,? says Woodley.
McGregor hasn?t set for in the Octagon since defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, the Irish star may be fighting UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson next.
